Children's skin and the sun

Developing pigmentation and immune systems, thinner skin... The specificities and immaturity of children's skin make it very vulnerable to the sun.
Result: 50% of cellular damage linked to UV ray exposure occurs before the age of 19 years. Therefore adults must be very vigilant and adopt crucial prevention habits.

Sun protection for babies and children

Children’s skin is thinner and its pigmentation system (ability to “tan”) is still developing, which means it lacks the natural defences that help provide adult skin with some protection against harmful UV rays.
